Enable Welfare Part of £6500 Fundraising Effort!
August 9, 2021
From the 2nd-3rd July, the Enable Consortium (Enable Infrastructure – formerly known as BCM, Enable Welfare, Enable Hire, Enable Design – formerly known as Equate Design) took on the 3 Peak Challenge, tackling the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales all in just 1 whole day.
The total walking distance was 24 miles (39km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres which was no easy feat, however, the team’s tenacious attitude and willingness to get all the mountains complete was the reason we finished this tough challenge.
This is just one of many events we have organized for staff and we prioritise building the relationships through these events, creating a stronger bond between teams.
Not only did this tough challenge bring everyone closer together we also raised a whopping £6500 for a number of different charities:
Dane Marshall – Sport in Mind
Stuart Jackson – Crohn’s & Colitis UK
Malcolm Blaxall – Living With CAH
George Blaxall – WWF
Peter Milnes – MS Society
Mark Dale – Cancer Research UK (CRUK)
Birju Patel – BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha
Steve Turrell – Mind
Zayyan Saleem – Mind
Chris Harrison – Swindon Night Shelter
Duane Carey – Swindon Night Shelter
Niall McGarry – Centrepoint
Dan Wiscombe – Crohn’s & Colitis UK
Thank you to everyone for the support and a huge shoutout to Unicorn Travel Wrexham who were the most accommodating coach company we could ask for.
